A Visit to Cairns, Australia  Cairns is the gateway to the tropical rain forests of Australia. It is lush, green and tropical, a welcome relief from our recent visit to the Gold Coast. สล็อตเว็บตรงWhen we arrived on Australia’s tropical island of Queensland, we left Queensland and ventured north to Cairns, a pleasant small city on the Fraser River. We arrived in Cairns enjoying the tropical climate, the lovely warm evenings and sunny days. The weather is only a 60 minute tropical rain a day which helps make the area very comfortable. Cairns AustraliaWe drove from Cairns to Palm Beach, very nice in the warm evenings, but on a dime, one could get tired of the tropical air and it was still pretty warm. Cairns AustraliaWe stopped for the night right near Palm Beach, right opposite the Pacific Ocean, something we had not expected. The peace and quiet and serenity of the beach nights was very relaxing and refreshing, truly something we enjoyed. Cairns AustraliaThe following day, we had to get going early as we had a lot of tour ahead of us. A half day tour to the islands of the island Proserpine and the Isle ofasca, the 2 islands that make up the island Efate. We had a local guide with us and between the white sandy beach and turquoise water, we only had one thing on our minds, exploring the Islands of the Efate.Cairns Australia Cairns AustraliaThe tour was fabulous, part of its uniqueness was the fact we were the only ones there. The knowledgeable and friendly guide took us to places the other tourists rarely see. We learned of the inhabitants as a family living on the island like the different islands that make up the inhabited island of Aphrodite. We were shown around the lush farmlands and noticeable decorative sweets as well as the picturesque volcanic mountains.Cairns Australia Cairns AustraliaThe next morning, we got started early, drove to the olive farm in Rochdale about an hour out of Cairns, it was a pleasant drive through the country side fields and towards the hill top town of height. At the top of the hill, we had a fantastic view of the continue descend into the coastal plains and also the mountains inland. it was a beautiful sunny 11 degree day and perfect for diving. The water was clear and deep and swimming with the children was a joy.Cairns Australia Cairns AustraliaWe arrived at the olive farm early in the afternoon, and checked into our hotel, prepared for a typical hot and humid day after all. Afternoon games and BBQ’s were before us, we sat down and had some coffees and beers and were welcoming the guests to the farmhouse. After a great day and being showcased in the farm’s photographs and videos, we felt like we really had experienced the fruit of the labor, the farm itself was staffed by satellites. In the evening we had the owner of the farm come down to meet us and Official seals of the farm with big smiles, after a few pints he invited us to the local pubs and for a dinner he brought in a gourmet chicken dinner, we ate the entire thing. The fried oysters were delicious, the vegetable oil salmon, delicious. He told us it was his wife who cooked most of the dishes, she was very hospitable and friendly. We went back to the farmhouse and stuck our heads in the old barrel, it was full of old farm equipment. Doors from the downstairs had large cracks in them and a new replaced drum sounded. Wondered what it would be like to use a drum like that. Wish I could say I had many more interesting stories to tell but all I could think of was that it was a new and interesting experience to be in a living Guinness Book of World Records, a lot of stuff to look into and document.  welp, thats a wrap!
